CMV is not uncommon post transplant. I know that isn’t exactly comforting but i’s something they know how to treat, which is a good thing.

i know its very common Kristy, they expected Deakon to get it as his donor carried it but he never came out in it. He was on so many meds i dont know what they were all for. They have spotted it early and know how to treat it so try and keep strong. Thinking of you all and sending our love and prayers. Liam will come through this, Deakon had three seperate infections at this time in his recovery n was in and ouy of hospital. Its a very scarey time but part of the process for most patients. I hope liam feels better soon xxxx

Our daughter, Kristan, had cmv post 30 days out and while it IS something to really keep an eye on she was put on Acyclovir and had no complications. We even thought her hlh was returning since all symptoms mimiced the disease in her.
