Day+23 ANC 1125 WBC 2.5 platelet 63 it went up from 53 yesterday hematocrit 33 which stayed the same as yesterday. Throwing up again, 3 times.

Today has been very hard he threw up a lot. Not sure exactly why. Hope tomorrow is a better day for him 🙁 Liam is not 27in. Long he is 25 3/4in. Long. He is short for his age but his length and weight equal out perfect.

June 3, 2011, 11:34 PM Liam’s NG tube got plugged so they had to take it out now we have to put another one in. He is sleeping but they have to wake him. Poor baby

    Have they tried taking the NG tube out? Colt hasn’t stopped eating so they haven’t done TPN. They also give him ativan every morning and night to prevent nausea.

    Liam never got TPN. They think his throwing up is due to his mucus. But I am not sure today he has been throwing up since 5:00am. They are also thinking it could be GVHD or withdrawal from the morphine. I just want it to stop. I hope Colt continues to do so well.

    Natalie McClain Fuhrman: Keep your head high….liam is doing great! I continue to pray his vomiting stops. Is he on tacrolimus for GVHD?

    Karen Beavers: Hope it wasn’t too bad for Liam and he went back to sleep for you! The nurses used to put a small amount of coca cola down Deakons NG when it got plugged then flushed a bit of water down and it would un block it every time! I dont know if you want to try that if it happens again…giving coca cola (coke) to a baby sound pretty bad now lol! xxxx

    They tried that and coca cola and cranberry juice. It was just to clogged.
